Mells Walled Garden is perfect for a drinks reception or small intimate weddings. A small rural walled cottage garden in the heart of Mells village, Somerset. The garden is set in an acre of grounds and the cottage garden has a wonderful rose terrace and provides a lovely tranquil setting for nature lovers.

The garden is unique in that it is enclosed but has a view over ancient meadows on its south side. This gives you the protected and sheltered aspect of walls without the feeling of being closed in.

In the 1500’s the garden was the site of a monastery belonging to Glastonbury Abbey and has been a cottage garden for hundreds of years since, when you look closely at the walls, you can still see antique fixings, old doorways, vine markings and a host of signs of the gardeners past and the current custodians.

The Garden and Rose Terrace are only available for six exclusive evening uses a year or you can hire the Rose Terrace for a day time drinks and canape reception.
